Scan-and-enhance websites want the whole album in a zip. Family pictures are the worst files to train a stranger’s model on. If you only need one print, a local tab is enough.

Restore colorizes and restores old photos without sending them to a cloud. The work is in the browser.

What restoration is

A model infers colour or cleaner edges from the pixels you have. It will invent. It will not recover a face that was never in the negative. Check the result against the original. Keep the original file.

First run may download a public model. Your photo is not uploaded with that download.

How to restore a picture

2. Pick a scan or a digital photo from the device.
3. Wait for the preview. Compare. If the colour is wrong, do not treat it as history.
4. Download a copy. Archive the source scan separately.
