Use the SW Toolbox Chrome extension for images, PDF, and QR on your device

Webpage tools on tools.sw-commercial.com already convert HEIC, compress photos, and merge PDFs in the tab. The Chrome extension is the same idea, closer to the file you already have open: a right-click on an image, a popup for a batch, no extra website hop.

SW Toolbox is that extension (version 0.5.6). Install it from the Chrome Web Store via that page (item ogjpnpoanhanmkhphpmjpcnbebdkmpni). It processes images, PDFs, and QR codes on your device. Nothing is uploaded. There is no account to start. The extension itself has 0 ads.

What it does on the device

Compress JPG and WebP to a size or quality you pick. Convert between JPG, PNG, and WebP. Decode iPhone HEIC to JPG or PNG. Strip EXIF and GPS from photos you own. Merge or split PDFs, or turn images into a PDF. Generate a QR code from text or a URL and save a PNG.

Right-click an image on a page to compress, convert, remove mosaic, resize, decode HEIC, strip EXIF, or save as PDF. Right-click a PDF link to split pages. Right-click selected text or a link to make a QR PNG.

Bytes stay on the computer. The extension does not send your photo to SW Commercial. It does not call a license server that reads the file. Optional Pro is a one-time key you paste locally.

How to install and run a first job

1. Open https://tools.sw-commercial.com/extension. That page sends you to the Chrome Web Store listing.
2. Add SW Toolbox to Chrome. Pin it if you want the popup one click away.
3. Click the icon. Pick Compress, Convert, HEIC, PDF, or QR. Choose a file from disk, or use a right-click on an image you already see.
4. Download the result. Keep the original if you still need it.

You do not create an SW Commercial account. You do not grant a cloud folder. Free tools in the popup work without Pro.

Language follows the browser, or you set it in Options (English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語).

Webpage hub versus the extension

Use the website when you are on a phone, a school computer without extensions, or you want the full catalog (invoices, ID photos, planners). Use the extension when you live in Chrome on a laptop and you keep right-clicking photos on the web.

They are not two upload products. Both are client-side. The hub is tools.sw-commercial.com. The install door is tools.sw-commercial.com/extension. Do not look for a second paid listing. SW Toolbox is the live Chrome Web Store item.

CiteClip, ApplyStash, TabNest, SnipStash, Recipe Saver, and ArticleStash are family extensions in the same company catalog. They ship as separate MV3 apps and separate store listings when those listings go live. They are not folded into the SW Toolbox popup. Until a listing is live, do not expect an install button for them on the Toolbox page.

Permissions, in plain language

Chrome will show why the extension needs context menus, downloads, and storage. Those are for the right-click, the save dialog, and your Options. Optional permissions for a local Agent hub (127.0.0.1:17321) appear only if a Pro user starts that hub. Everyday compress/convert/QR does not need loopback or native messaging.

If an image sits on another site’s CDN, Chrome may ask for that site so the extension can read the file you clicked. Bytes still stay on the device. The extension does not crawl the web.

Pro, ads, and money

Core file tools stay usable without Pro. Optional tips open Buy Me a Coffee. SW Toolbox Pro is $15 once on Polar for the local MCP Agent hub. The key prefix is SW-TBX-. You paste it in the extension. The check runs on the device. We do not store your card number. Polar is the merchant of record for that checkout.

The extension has 0 ads. Labeled ads, if any, are on some websites, not in the popup. Optional tips open Buy Me a Coffee in a tab you choose.

The local MCP hub for Cursor or Claude is documented at tools.sw-commercial.com/mcp. It needs the Pro key in mcp.json as SW_TOOLBOX_KEY or npx will not start. That hub binds to 127.0.0.1:17321 on your computer. It is not an upload API.

When not to use the extension

Do not use it to process photos you do not have the right to process. Do not treat mosaic/pixelation as a magic “unblur.” It smooths blocks on files you own; it does not restore discarded pixels.

For kindergarten games, use PlayNest, not the Toolbox popup. For invoices, use Invoice Studio in the browser.

What we do not do

We do not upload the files you open in SW Toolbox. We do not show ads in the extension. We do not require an account for the free tools. Family Chrome extensions stay separate listings; they are not hidden inside this one popup.
