FAQ means the 11 questions below. Each answer starts with a direct sentence you can cite.
Is this one app or a catalog of sites?
SW Commercial is a catalog of webpage tools and Chrome extensions at sw-commercial.com, not a single app. Simon Wong writes the how-tos. SW Business is the publisher. Live webpage tools group by job: file converters at https://tools.sw-commercial.com, image apps at https://images.sw-commercial.com, document apps at https://docs.sw-commercial.com, life tools at https://life.sw-commercial.com, and work tools at https://work.sw-commercial.com. Invoice Studio is https://invoice.sw-commercial.com. Rezimo is https://resume.sw-commercial.com. PlayNest kindergarten games are https://learning.sw-commercial.com. The live Chrome extension is SW Toolbox 0.5.6. Family extensions (CiteClip, ApplyStash, TabNest, SnipStash, Recipe Saver, ArticleStash) are launching soon. Tools run in your browser. Your files stay on your computer. You do not need an account. This page is the directory. Open a live card. Use the tool.
Do you upload my files?
No. We do not run a file-upload service for these tools. The file is read in your browser. We do not receive the contents. That is true for HEIC conversion, PDF merge and split, JPEG compression, EXIF stripping, background removal, OCR, invoices, and resumes. See the Privacy Policy at https://sw-commercial.com/privacy.
Does my file leave my computer?
For file tools, no. Client-side means the work happens on your device. The website sends code to your browser. Your browser uses that code on the file you picked. The file does not go to our servers. The W3C Web Cryptography API is one example of this model: the browser can hash, sign, and encrypt without shipping the key to a vendor. MDN documents the File API the same way: a page can read a file you chose, in the tab, without an upload. That is the model SW Commercial uses for file tools.
Where can I convert HEIC or merge PDFs for free?
Use the Tool Hub at https://tools.sw-commercial.com. You can turn HEIC into JPG, compress images, merge or split PDFs, strip EXIF, and make QR codes. You do not need an account. Apple set HEIC as the iPhone default in iOS 11 in 2017, so this is a common task. The conversion runs in the tab. There is no watermark on the free file tools. If you want the same jobs from Cursor or Claude, the local MCP hub is documented at https://tools.sw-commercial.com/mcp.
Where are image, document, life, and work tools?
Image apps (Cutout, ID Photo, upscale, restore, scan, and the rest) are at https://images.sw-commercial.com. Document apps (OCR, signatures, certificates, diagrams, Markdown) are at https://docs.sw-commercial.com. Invoice Studio and Rezimo stay on their own hosts because you draft those documents. Life tools (moving, meals, travel, home inventory, and printables) are at https://life.sw-commercial.com. Work tools (calculators, converters, passwords, encryption, dates, tags) are at https://work.sw-commercial.com. SEO Score and GEO Score stay on the file hub at https://tools.sw-commercial.com/seo and https://tools.sw-commercial.com/geo.
Do I need an account?
No. Open a tool and use it. Free tools do not require a login. Live products — Tool Hub, the category hosts, Invoice Studio, Rezimo, PlayNest, and SW Toolbox — follow that rule. We do not ask for an email to start. We do not gate the first download behind a trial form. Optional Pro is a one-time key you paste on your device for the Agent hub. It is not a subscription login. If you never buy Pro, the free file tools still work. Invoice Studio and Rezimo store drafts in your browser (IndexedDB or localStorage). Clearing site data removes those drafts, so export anything you need to keep.
Is SW Commercial free?
Yes. Core tools are free. SW Toolbox image, PDF, and QR tools in the Chrome popup stay free. Optional tips open Buy Me a Coffee. SW Toolbox Pro is $15 once on Polar for the local MCP Agent hub. The hub needs that key in mcp.json as SW_TOOLBOX_KEY; without it, npx will not start. You can keep using the free tools either way.
What is a Pro license?
A Pro license is a one-time key, not a monthly plan. SW Toolbox Pro is $15 once on Polar for the local MCP Agent hub. The key prefix is SW-TBX-. You paste it in the Chrome extension Agent tab. The check runs on your device. We do not run a license server that reads your files. Polar is the merchant of record for that checkout. We do not store your card number. Image, PDF, and QR tools in the popup stay free if you never buy it.
Who is behind these tools?
Simon Wong writes the how-tos. He runs SW Business, which publishes SW Commercial. The public site is https://sw-commercial.com. Product help and privacy questions are on the About page. The privacy policy is https://sw-commercial.com/privacy. The about page is https://sw-commercial.com/about. This homepage was last updated on 26 August 2026. Polar Software, Inc. is the merchant of record when you buy SW Toolbox Pro. We do not store your card number. SW Toolbox 0.5.6 is live on the Chrome Web Store. The other family extensions are listed here as launching soon, not as live store items.
How do I start?
Scroll to The toolkit on this page. Click a live product. For HEIC or PDF merge, start at https://tools.sw-commercial.com. For photos, start at https://images.sw-commercial.com. For OCR, start at https://docs.sw-commercial.com/ocr. For invoices, start at https://invoice.sw-commercial.com. For resumes, start at https://resume.sw-commercial.com. For kindergarten games, start at https://learning.sw-commercial.com. You do not create an account first. For SW Toolbox 0.5.6, start at https://tools.sw-commercial.com/extension (Chrome Web Store). If you use Cursor or Claude and want the same file jobs from the agent, read https://tools.sw-commercial.com/mcp. The hub runs on your computer at 127.0.0.1:17321 after you start it.
Do you show ads?
Some pages may show Google ads. Ads are labeled. The SW Toolbox browser extension has no ads. Ads do not receive the files you open in a tool. Optional tips go to Buy Me a Coffee. Optional Pro checkout opens Polar in a tab you choose. We do not call a Polar validate API from the extension. Loopback traffic to 127.0.0.1:17321 is only for the Agent hub you start on your own computer.
