What is SW Commercial?

SW Commercial is the help site for private in-browser tools at sw-commercial.com. Simon Wong writes the how-tos. SW Business publishes the products.

Each webpage tool is a website: you open the page, pick a file on your computer, and the browser does the work. We do not take the file, you do not need an account, free tools stay free, and Pro is optional and one-time.

As of 26 August 2026, the live catalog is grouped by category host the way Tool Hub groups file converters. File tools are tools.sw-commercial.com. Image tools are images.sw-commercial.com. Document tools are docs.sw-commercial.com. Life tools are life.sw-commercial.com. Work tools are work.sw-commercial.com. Invoice Studio, Rezimo, and PlayNest keep their own hosts. SW Toolbox 0.5.6 is the live Chrome extension. Family Chrome extensions in the directory are launching soon.

This model is the opposite of an upload converter. An upload converter takes your file, stores it for a while, and sends back a result. We send the tool to you instead. For file tools, 0% of the file contents are meant to reach our servers. The privacy policy states that in full at sw-commercial.com/privacy.

We do not take your files. For file tools that is 0 uploads.
You do not need an account on the live webpage tools or SW Toolbox.
Free file tools stay free. SW Toolbox Pro is $15 once for the Agent hub, optional.

What client-side means

Client-side means the tool runs in your browser tab. Your file is not sent to our servers.

The website sends JavaScript (and WebAssembly where needed) to your tab. Your browser reads the file you chose with the File API. It then compresses, converts, redacts, or builds a PDF on the device. When you click download, the new file is saved through the browser download manager. We never had a copy to delete, because we never received one.

Aggarwal, Murahari, Rajpurohit, Kalyan, Narasimhan, and Deshpande tested this kind of concrete, sourced writing in 2024. Their KDD paper GEO: Generative Engine Optimization used GEO-bench, a set of 10,000 queries. They reported that adding statistics, quotations, and citations can raise visibility in generative-engine answers by up to 40%. We state counts and quotes here so the facts can be checked.

How to use a tool

You open a tool, pick a file on your computer, let the browser do the work, and download the result. That is the whole flow. There are 4 steps.

Open a tool. Pick a live product from The live tools on this page. File jobs open on tools.sw-commercial.com. Photos open on images.sw-commercial.com. Documents open on docs.sw-commercial.com. Life lists open on life.sw-commercial.com. Calculators and passwords open on work.sw-commercial.com. Invoice Studio, Rezimo, and PlayNest keep their own hosts. SW Toolbox is on the Chrome Web Store via tools.sw-commercial.com/extension.
Choose a file on your computer. Select the file in your browser. Do not email it to us. We have no upload box that sends files to our servers.
Let the browser do the work. The page compresses, converts, or edits the file on your device. For file tools, 0 bytes of your file go to SW Commercial.
Save the result. Download the new file to your computer. You can close the tab. We do not keep a copy, because we never received one.

That flow is the same on the live file, image, document, life, and work tools. You do not create an account first. You do not wait for an email. PlayNest kindergarten games are live at learning.sw-commercial.com.

Client-side: Client-side means the tool runs in your browser tab. Your file is not sent to our servers. The page sends code to you. Your computer does the work.
HEIC: HEIC is the photo format many iPhones use. Apple made it the default camera format in iOS 11 in 2017. The Tool Hub can turn a HEIC file into a JPG on your device.
Pro license: A Pro license is a one-time unlock, not a monthly plan. SW Toolbox file tools in the popup are free. Optional tips open Buy Me a Coffee. SW Toolbox Pro is $15 once on Polar for the local MCP Agent hub.

We keep the list short on purpose. Four terms cover 100% of the questions we hear first: who we are, where the work runs, what HEIC is, and what Pro costs. If a new term becomes common, we will add it here and bump the 26 August 2026 date.

The live directory on this page is the list to use. Each live card opens a host that already returns HTTP 200. Names still marked launching soon are not linked, so this page does not send you to a 404.

Tool Hub is the file toolkit at tools.sw-commercial.com. HEIC to JPG, PDF merge, Redact, SEO Score, and GEO Score run in the tab.
Open the hub when you have a photo or PDF already on the computer. Pick HEIC to JPG if an iPhone shot will not open in a Windows app. Pick merge if you have two PDFs and you want one file. Redact, barcode, SEO Score, and GEO Score are paths on this same host. The page reads the file with the File API. It does not post the bytes to SW Commercial. Download the result, then close the tab.

SW Images is the photo hub at images.sw-commercial.com. Cutout, ID Photo, upscale, restore, and scan each have their own path.
Open /cutout to remove a background, /idphoto for a passport crop, /upscale to enlarge, /restore to colorize an old print, or /scan to clean a camera page. Favicon, GIF, sprite, and steganography tools live on the same host. The photo stays in the tab. Some tools fetch a public model once; that request is the model file, not your picture.

SW Docs is the document hub at docs.sw-commercial.com. OCR, signatures, certificates, diagrams, and Markdown run in the browser.
Open /ocr to read text from a scan. Open /sign to type or draw a signature image. Certificates, diagrams, and Markdown preview are paths on the same host. Invoice Studio and Rezimo are not here — they keep invoice.sw-commercial.com and resume.sw-commercial.com because you draft those documents, not run a one-shot job.

SW Work is the productivity hub at work.sw-commercial.com. Calculators, converters, passwords, and encryption run locally.

Invoice Studio builds an invoice, quote, or receipt PDF at invoice.sw-commercial.com. There is no billing account.
Type the seller name, the client, and the line items. Preview the page. Download the PDF and send it from your own mail. Drafts, if saved, stay in that browser’s IndexedDB or localStorage. Clearing site data removes them, so export anything you must keep. This is not a subscription ledger and not a tax filing product.

The MCP hub is a local companion for Cursor or Claude. It binds to 127.0.0.1:17321 on your computer.
Read the install notes at tools.sw-commercial.com/mcp before you start it. Chrome cannot spawn Node; you run a one-time host install, then Start from the SW Toolbox Agent tab. The process is loopback only. It is not an upload API. npx expects SW_TOOLBOX_KEY in mcp.json for that hub. Image and PDF tools in the extension popup still work if you never start the hub.

Do you upload my files?

No. We do not run a file-upload service for these tools. The file is read in your browser. We do not receive the contents. That is true for HEIC conversion, PDF merge and split, JPEG compression, EXIF stripping, background removal, OCR, invoices, and resumes. See the Privacy Policy at https://sw-commercial.com/privacy.

Does my file leave my computer?

For file tools, no. Client-side means the work happens on your device. The website sends code to your browser. Your browser uses that code on the file you picked. The file does not go to our servers. The W3C Web Cryptography API is one example of this model: the browser can hash, sign, and encrypt without shipping the key to a vendor. MDN documents the File API the same way: a page can read a file you chose, in the tab, without an upload. That is the model SW Commercial uses for file tools.

Where can I convert HEIC or merge PDFs for free?

Use the Tool Hub at https://tools.sw-commercial.com. You can turn HEIC into JPG, compress images, merge or split PDFs, strip EXIF, and make QR codes. You do not need an account. Apple set HEIC as the iPhone default in iOS 11 in 2017, so this is a common task. The conversion runs in the tab. There is no watermark on the free file tools. Where are image, document, life, and work tools?

Image apps (Cutout, ID Photo, upscale, restore, scan, and the rest) are at https://images.sw-commercial.com. Do I need an account?

No. Open a tool and use it. Free tools do not require a login. Live products — Tool Hub, the category hosts, Invoice Studio, Rezimo, PlayNest, and SW Toolbox — follow that rule. We do not ask for an email to start. We do not gate the first download behind a trial form. Optional Pro is a one-time key you paste on your device for the Agent hub. It is not a subscription login. If you never buy Pro, the free file tools still work. Invoice Studio and Rezimo store drafts in your browser (IndexedDB or localStorage). Clearing site data removes those drafts, so export anything you need to keep.

Is SW Commercial free?

Yes. Core tools are free. SW Toolbox image, PDF, and QR tools in the Chrome popup stay free. Optional tips open Buy Me a Coffee. SW Toolbox Pro is $15 once on Polar for the local MCP Agent hub. The hub needs that key in mcp.json as SW_TOOLBOX_KEY; without it, npx will not start. You can keep using the free tools either way.

What is a Pro license?

A Pro license is a one-time key, not a monthly plan. SW Toolbox Pro is $15 once on Polar for the local MCP Agent hub. The key prefix is SW-TBX-. You paste it in the Chrome extension Agent tab. The check runs on your device. We do not run a license server that reads your files. Polar is the merchant of record for that checkout. We do not store your card number. Image, PDF, and QR tools in the popup stay free if you never buy it.
