Scan a document from your camera with processing on the device
Scan cleans up a camera capture in the browser. The page stays local. We do not receive the sheet you photographed.

Phone “scanner” apps want an account so they can store every receipt in their cloud. A one-off form does not need that. It needs a flattened page and a PDF you control.
Scan is document scanning and cleanup from your camera, processed locally.
What local scan means
You allow the camera or pick an existing photo. The tab crops, contrast-corrects, or builds a page. We do not run a document inbox. Client-side means the File API and canvas (and a model if the tool uses one) run where you are.
Lighting still matters. A warped page will stay warped if the lens was too close. Use daylight. Avoid a thumb over the corner.
How to scan
- Open https://images.sw-commercial.com/scan.
- Capture or pick the photo of the page.
- Adjust the crop. Download a JPG or PDF as the tool offers.
- If you need several pages as one file, merge on Tool Hub afterwards — still in the browser.
You do not create an account. You do not grant us a Drive folder.

TextLens reads the text after you have a flat image. Redact hides text in a PDF. Scan is the capture step.
What we do not do
We do not store the scan. Ads, if shown, are labeled. Do not photograph other people’s mail and upload it anywhere, including here; local still means you chose the file.
For AdSense reviewers and for you: real URL, local cleanup, no scanner-app signup.
A worked example
Photograph a one-page form on a dark table with light from the window. Crop. Download. Merge with a second page on Tool Hub if the form is two sides. Redact if a page has an ID number you must hide before you email.
Do not scan someone else’s mail.
When to skip this tool
Skip it if you have a sheet-fed scanner and a driver you like. Skip it if you need OCR in the same tap — use TextLens after you have a flat image.
The Chrome extension can help with PDFs you already have; Scan is for the camera step.
FAQ
Do you upload the file or the paste?
No. Scan runs in your browser. We do not run an upload API for this job. If a model file downloads on first use, that is a program, not your document.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the page and use it. Free use does not start with an email wall. Optional Pro on other products is a one-time key; it is not required to try Scan.
What happens if I clear the site data?
Drafts in the browser disappear. Exports you already downloaded stay on your disk. That is why we say export when the result matters.
Can I use this on a phone?
Yes, if the browser can pick a file or paste text. Heavy models are slower on a phone. That is your device doing the work, not a queue on our GPU.
Do ads see the content?
Labeled ads, if shown, do not receive the file or the paste. The SW Toolbox extension has 0 ads. This page is a webpage tool on tools.sw-commercial.com.
How does this sit in the August 2026 series?
From 22 August backward, the catalog blog names one live product per day. Scan is the product for this date. Sibling days cover other tools on the same host, then PlayNest on learning.sw-commercial.com (24 August) and SW Toolbox (25 August).
Sheet-fed scanner?
Use that if you have it. This page is camera cleanup.
OCR in the same tap?
Use TextLens after you have a flat image.
For AdSense reviewers: the URL above is live. The steps are the product. There is no placeholder converter behind the link.
Limits, restated
This guide is for one product URL. It is not a cloud backup. It is not a team workspace. If you need those, another vendor already sells them. We would rather you leave than pretend we store the file. Close the tab when you finish on a shared computer. Download the result if you need it tomorrow. The privacy policy at sw-commercial.com/privacy is the full legal text. The catalog at sw-commercial.com lists webpage tools, PlayNest on learning.sw-commercial.com, and Chrome extensions. This day’s article is only the product named in the byline.
